Excel with PyApacheAtlas Support for Purview and Apache Atlas

Many teams already have metadata repositories that they keep in Excel or a SQL database. PyApacheAtlas makes it easy to take that information and immediately push it up into Azure Purview or Apache Atlas with the Excel templates.

So why re-invent the wheel and build your own Excel parsing scripts when you can use one that's ready to go?

The tool offers support for bulk uploading entities (and their relationships to other entities), custom lineage, column mapping for Azure Purview, and type and classification definitions!

See the tutorial below for getting started with your metadata in Excel. Each tutorial has the steps to create a tab for the excel parsing. However, you can also generate a template (after installing PyApacheAtlas) from the command line using python -m pyapacheatlas --make-template .\template.xlsx
